Born January 1920 in Wolverhampton son of Robert and Jane Badger (née Smith).
He had six siblings Margaret, Florence, Ada, Sidney, Dennis and Jean.
In 1939 Harry's parents and five of his siblings lived at 6 Pond Crescent Wolverhampton.
Harry joined the Royal Artillery as a regular soldier in 1938. He was killed in action 4 January 1941 aged 20, Bardia, Libya. Reported to War Office Casualty Section 21/1/41.
Harry’s Regiment was involved in the Battle of Bardia which was fought between 3 and 5 January 1941, as part of Operation Compass, the first British military operation of the Western Desert Campaign of the Second World War. Allied forces attacked Italian forces of the 10th Army.
From the 7 Medium Regt’s War diary –
3 Jan 1941 - Battle of Bardia - Zero hour for artillery barrage at 0530.
Regiment in support of 6th Australian Division.
The Regiment fired 180 rounds per gun during the initial barrage and the 60pdr barrels turned almost black. The infantry made quick progress, very soon, long columns of Italian prisoners could be seen making their way towards cages guarded by merely a handful of Australian troops, often marshalled by their own officers to surrender.
4th Jan 1941 - Large force of enemy aircraft bombed 27/28 Medium Battery Wagon Lines 4 men killed [including Harry] and 7 men wounded.

Born 22nd January 1916 in Wolverhampton son of Samuel and Alice Rose Bullock, his father died in 1931. George married Evelyn Freda Genner June 1939 in Wolverhampton, they lived at 1 Mount Rd, Willenhall; George was employed as a 'viewer on munitions'.
Killed in a road traffic accident along with five other service personnel at Appleton, near Warrington, Lancashire 31st May 1943.

Cooper, Charles Frederick Aircraftman 2nd Class (Wireles Operator [Air])1003497

Born 28th January 1920 in Wolverhampton son of Enoch and Amelia Cooper, in 1939 they were living at 35 Rowlands Avenue, Heath Town along with his younger siblings Doris and Edna, he was employed as a grocer's assistant. Charles enlisted at RAF Padgate, Lancashire between September 1939 and February 1940 as an Aircrafthand; in June 1940 he volunteered for aircrew and after a short radar course he was posted to 600 Sqn at Redhill 26th September 1940.
Killed in action 3rd October 1940 aged 20, he was a member of the crew of Blenheim L4905 which had engine failure during a night patrol 3rd October 1940 during bad weather. It crashed into trees on high ground at Broadstone Warren Forest Row, Sussex. He was one of a number of aircrew who flew on operations during the Battle of Britain without rank or flying badge.

Born 15th February 1917 in Wolverhampton son of Edward and Sarah Cross. In 1939 they along with Charles ‘older sister Annie were living at 27 High Street, Wolverhampton; Charles was employed as a Heavy edge tool grinder.
Charles married Annie Hartill December 1940 in Wolverhampton.
Killed in action between 26th April 1941 and 27th April 1941 aged 24 during the battle of the Corinth Canal, Greece when the 4th Queen's Own Hussars were the rear-guard, the regiment was overrun and surrendered losing all its senior officers and over 400 men as prisoners of war.

Born 11th September 1915 in Wolverhampton son of Ernest and Elizabeth Griffiths. In 1939 they and Harold's older sister Gladys were living at 17 High Street Wolverhampton; Harold was employed as a galvanizer.
Harold married Mary Jane Austin December 1940 in Wolverhampton.
Died 10th July 1943 aged 27.

John was born December 1904 in Wolverhampton son of William and Maria Harris. In 1911 they were living at 37 Hargreaves Street, Wolverhampton along with John's older brothers William and Edward and younger sister Maria.
By 1921 John was living with his mother, brothers and sister at 20 Field Street, Wolverhampton. John was employed as an 'iron stamper' at Bayliss Jones Bayliss, Iron Foundry.
John married Gladys May Hodgetts September 1926 in Wolverhampton, by 1939 they were living at 59 Rowlands Avenue, Deans Road. John was now employed as an 'electrical light attendant' for Wolverhampton Corporation Lighting Department.
John died 24th April 1944 aged 39 at the Royal Hospital Wolverhampton of anaemia and pyelonephritis (kidney infection).

Born 15th July 1907 in Willenhall son of Henry and Ada Hart. In 1911 they were living at 47 Wood Street Willenhall along with Horace's five older siblings Emma, Agnes, William, Herbert, and Emily. By 1939 Horace and his parents were living at 65 Moseley Road, Wolverhampton; Horace was employed as a window cleaner.
Killed in action 1st September 1944 aged 39 when his ship was sunk by a mine in Savita Vecchia Port, western Italy.

Hollowood John Amos Cadet 104
1526 Squadron, Air Training Corps.
Born 4th November 1925 in Wolverhampton son of William Isaac and Alice Hollowood. In 1939 John was living with his father and older brother Joseph at 367 Willenhall Road, he was still attending school.
John was injured when the Master EM262 training aircraft in which he was flying crashed flying out of RAF Shobden, Herefordshire on 6th September 1943, he died three days later from his injuries, the pilot survived.
Died 9th September 1943 aged 17.

Born 23rd May 1908 in Wolverhampton son of John and Sarah Lockley; John married Mary Felton September 1929 in Wolverhampton. By 1939 John and Mary were living at 3 Fibbersley, Willenhall along with their children Beryl, Mary, Raymond, and Sylvia. John was employed as a jobbing bricklayer. At the time of John's death, the family were living in Portobello.

Born 2nd January 1921 in Wolverhampton son of Job and Annie Slater, in 1939 they were living at 30 Rowlands Avenue, Wolverhampton along with Job's younger sister Margaret. Job was employed as a railway smith improver.
Killed in action 8th February 1944 aged 23, on the night of 26th/27th January the 6th Lincolnshire Regiment won a firm footing on the slopes of Monte Rotondo East, going on to capture it on the night of the 28th. In the fierce fighting that followed, on the night of 7th/8th February the 6th Lincolnshire Regiment twice reached Monte Faito and twice were pushed off it by immediate counterattacks which forced them back to Ornito.

Born 11th January 1911 in Wolverhampton son of William Henry and Edith Anne Taylor. In 1911 they were living at 88 Wednesfield Road, Wolverhampton along with William's older sister Marjorie, maternal grandfather Charles Knott, three maternal uncles and two maternal aunts. William was married to Lily Taylor, of Quinton, Birmingham.
Killed in action 2nd November 1942 aged 31 during the Second Battle of El Alamein.
