Joseph was born in Coseley 23rd June 1921. Son of Clifford and Sarah Jane Nicholls.
Killed in Action 9th August 1944 aged 23.
Joseph's aircraft were shot down while on a S.O.E. mission delivering ammunition to the French Resistance. He flew in a Halifax bomber registration number V LL358 MA-Y out of RAF Tempsford Bedfordshire 2353 hours on the night of the 8th August.
All the crew were killed, they are buried alongside each other.

Born 12th May 1923 at Dudley, son of Thomas and Esther Robinson of 3 Spring Road Lanesfield, Wolverhampton.
Died 2nd October 1942 aged 19 when H.M.S. Curacoa a light cruiser was accidentally sliced in half and sunk by the ocean liner RMS Queen Mary while providing an anti-aircraft escort, with the loss of 337 men.

Born 17th March 1921 in Dudley son of Ah and Eve Sang. Ah Sang was born in Canton China and served in the Merchant Navy during the First World War.
The 1939 Register records Leonard living at 1 Allen Road, Tipton with his parents, brother John (b1919) sister Elsie (b1928) and three other siblings whose information is closed. Leonard was employed as a metal window fitter.
Leonard was wounded 21st September 1944 and subsequently died of his wounds 3rd October 1944 aged 23.
