The Midland Counties Express newspaper recorded on 30th October 1915 that he worked as a clerk in the Wolverhampton Corporation Borough Accountant’s department, his brother was also serving in the Army
Charles landed in France 5th March 1915 and was killed in action 13 October 1915.
