On 23rd September 1943 HMS Itchen, while acting as an escort to convoy ONS 18, was struck in a magazine by an acoustic torpedo fired from U666 and sank in a matter of minutes.

In September 1939 his parents were living at 54 Fancourt Avenue, Wolverhampton.
Killed in action 13th July 1943 aged 34

Frank was born 23 December 1918 in Wolverhampton son of George William and Daisy Rebecca Tanser. He was the third born of six children - George, Daisy, Mary, Robert and Dorothy.
In 1939 Frank was living with his parents and siblings at 34 Berry Street Wolverhampton and he was employed as a rubber worker.
Frank was killed in action 8th July 1944 aged 25.

Born 1914 in Wolverhampton, son of Son of David Wood and Elizabeth Maplas. Frank married Dorothy May Lucas September 1935 in Wolverhampton.
Killed in action Died 10 December 1941 aged 27 when HMS Repulse in the South China Sea off the east coast of Malaya was sunk by land-based bombers and torpedo bombers of the Imperial Japanese Navy.
