St. Bartholomew's Church Penn

Two memorials hang in the church. A memorial to the men of the parish who paid the supreme sacrifice during the First World War and one to the memory of the men of H.M.S. Gossamer killed in action June 24th 1942.

St. Bartholomew's Church Penn War Memorial

This is the First World War memorial, it is carved from a piece of marble and has on it the names of 33 men, they are recorded in order of their deaths, with a heading for each year. On it are inscribed the words "Our dead by whom we live."
